ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Inspired by a trip around the beautiful Hokianga Harbour in New Zealand, I was compelled to paint Omapere. I stayed here for three night and this was my view. On NZ's west coast, as the sun rose in the east these sand dunes would light up to an intense gold. This place is really a sight to see! Please note; edges are canvas white. I mask the edges whilst painting which creates a straight clean line when removed.

Inspired hugely by my own country, people and culture as well as by the modernist movements of early 20th century Europe.
