I am Devyani. A professional full time artist by choice. As much as a true blue Indian I'm at heart, I'm mesmerised by the extraordinarily beautiful skies of Vancouver. Hence is evident from my art. This contemporary modern Indian art is painted on a stretched canvas covered with burlap, coated with good quality gesso. Fine quality professional Acrylic paints used for painting, gives the desired vibrant look to the artwork. A final coat of really good quality varnish has been applied to protect the surface of the artwork and so that you can clean it with a damp cloth. This painting is ready to hang. This painting is not a print but a guaranteed original piece of art.

It was the power of expression hidden behind the simplicity of colours that fascinated me the most. Gradually, I evolved my own style of painting which was fundamentally Indian in subject, spirit and expression But after coming to Vancouver, the extraordinarily beautiful nature however captured my heart and couldn’t stop me from painting the ever mesmerising skyline.
