About The Artwork
This artwork is part of a series called WHISPER. Artworks in the Whisper series were based on peoples answers and my thoughts in response to the following question - 'If you could whisper in your child's ear tonight, and they would FOREVER, believe it to be true, what would you whisper?' We are actually a one in four hundred million billion trillion. The chances of us being us, with our genetic wiring, aesthetics, character traits, from the particular sperm and egg that made us, born on the day and at the time we were born, with the stars and planets sitting where they were sitting at the moment of our birth, the odds of that happening, of us, happening - is actually one in four hundred million billion trillion. Someone did the calculation! So if we are THAT unique, that 'one-off', each of us must actually be very very, very, special. Can you imagine finding something buried deep in the ground that was beautiful and glistening, and pulsed with an aliveness you could feel? Finding something that you knew no one else had ever seen or found before. Can you imagine if this is how we viewed ourselves? Our children? Our partners? As truly unique one-off ‘finds’. We would sit in awe at who we are. We would be curious to discover more about ourselves. We would relish in our unique ‘oneoffness’ We would share us with the world, just as we are, without the need or want to change or be like those around us. I asked our 10 year old daughter what she thought would be a great thing to whisper to a child. Her answer was ‘You are amazing for who you are’. Kind of the same thing…. YOU are one in four hundred million billion trillion. Shine baby shine.

I love painting, creating and making. I love learning about energy and how it works. Asking questions and growing as an individual, a mother, a wife and a soul light me up. I studied mechanical engineering at university and the best thing it taught me was that anything is possible. Engineering teaches you to turn ideas into a reality. It teaches you to make 'things' and then make them faster and more efficient, to make them better. At uni what i actually learnt was that there really are no limits. After uni, i have learnt that us and our world, is ALL made of up of energy and that energy can manifest itself into any form. Which means, in this practical, energetic world we are blessed to live in, anything is possible and we can create it. My art embodies our collective hopes and dreams. What I wish for our minds to think and our bodies to feel. The power of our thoughts and (often unrealised) magnitude of their contribution to the reality we live is what I aim to unveil through my art. As humans we are powerful creators. As women, we really are powerhouses of untapped potential. My wish is that hanging my art on your walls, pulls you back into alignment time and time again with the greatest version of yourself so that is who you become.
