Onwards and Upwards Painting

Heavily textured acrylic paint is applied to a wooden panel. Colors move across the board from dark rich reds, blacks, metallic copper, golds and silvers to lighter whites, grays and more metallic colors of iridescent whites, golds and silvers. Raised wooden circles with a heavy impasto of acrylic paint seem to hover and float across the panel giving the piece a multi-dimensional field. The circles create the feeling of order amongst chaos. This particular piece is the first of M Jacksons experimentation with floating circles and is part of her exploration in finding new ways to create and build a painting. This painting comes ready to hang both vertically and horizontally.
