About The Artwork
OPaul is one of my typical cow portraits. OPaul is dominated by the large proportion of a bright orange that pervades both the cow and the background. Another typical feature of my paintings is the dissolution of details into sometimes very rough gestural traces. You can't see a clear eye, no clear mouth line and yet they are very present for us on an associative level. These very strong and direct gestures mark an extreme determination of mine, which appears in many of my painterly works.

Born 1968 in Bergkamen in Germany, meanwhile I live and work as a freelance artist in Bochum (Germany). Studied visual communication at the University of Applied Sciences in Münster, majoring in illustration with Professor Rolf Escher. Since 1995 many national and international exhibitions, international collaborations with galleries and presentations at art fairs in Europe and partly overseas.
