ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Inspiration -- Josef Albers. Albers has been an interesting issue for me. In the last ten years I haven't thought about him very much but when I was still a student I read "The Interaction of Color" and clearly his approach affected me a great deal. It happened so long ago that it's hard to remember. Certainly that can be seen as a strong tendency in European art from twenties right through the sixties, off and on, soperhaps that's the key to the relationship. In this painting I was interesting in relationship between geometry and nature. Like many other artists I imagined that one could posit a connection between ideal geometric forms and an order that one might find in nature. Painting (on the HDF board) is signed on the back.

He draws inspiration from futuristic, constructivism and abstract tradition that interlace with many real world elements. In his compositions he works with flat paint blots that when combined balance between the presented and abstract forms. He creates multicoloured works that attract attention with simple and very moderate form.
