My attraction to nature and plants can be explained in the same way as my attraction to the built environment. We superseded nature by our built habitat and then we put it back into our spaces in little pots with soil in it. Orchids are the typical example for that, except that fact this plant is no...

Dora Stork is a Hungarian contemporary artist known for her distinctive use of encaustic and shellac burn techniques — ancient methods reinterpreted through a modern, architectural lens. Her works explore the intersection of organic growth and urban structure, where molten wax becomes a metaphor for transformation and renewal. Her paintings have been exhibited internationally, including at the Royal Scottish Academy (RSA, Edinburgh) and the London Art Biennale, as well as at curated shows across Europe. Each piece is built through multiple layers of wax and pigment, resulting in a tactile, light-reactive surface that cannot be replicated by digital or print processes. Dora Stork is represented on major online art platforms such as Saatchi Art and Artfinder, and is a member of several European art societies. Selected works are available as fine art prints, while the majority remain one-of-a-kind originals collected for their rarity and depth.
