ABOUT THE ARTWORK

ATLANTIS Triptych (3 panels) on canvas 80 cmH x 80L cm each canvas : 240 cm total length At the center of my journey in creation there has always been the human and by extension nature, the living ... ATLANTIS evokes the ocean, and more precisely "my" Mediterranean, the earth and the sky that merge in a harmony of gesture, dreamlike landscapes of our passions, magma of our (in) inner consciousness ... This work includes elements of growth, circulation, structures in development with soft contours or overflowing with energy evoking the Elements. Technique and artistic approach: I have a very physical relationship to painting: wide movements, spraying, drips, projections, washing with water, impasto and burning .... Experimentation and the work of textures is at the center of my creation. What can be described as action painting, which is the first phase of construction of this creation, is added the elaboration of textures, and the careful meditative work by which I taint paint and pigments. The successive washings are superimposed and fuse between them sometimes showing, over drying, cracks and "imperfections".

MiraBelle was born in the Principality of Monaco, where she lives, works and presents her creations in her studio. Passionate about drawing since her childhood, she approaches painting with watercolor in 2003. Of this preferred medium, were born many high-quality works, "moving bodies" mostly inspired by dance. "However, I missed something I do not really identified: a certain relief, texture, freedom of movement ..." MiraBelle get delivered from the technique itself by breaking with the style "conventional" and very codified of this medium to reach a more informal style where the gesture and the textures predominate. The path won't be long for the artist to find her new way and to give another direction in his painting. The fruit of this research: an artistic approach much spontaneous, a letting go which also leads naturally to lyrical abstraction in 2015. "My approach is still changing and it is not so much the work done that is important but the path that leads me, the magic of the creative process." Her creations, which drew from the poetry of Mucha, Klimt, the realism of Lucian Freud and Egon Schiele, are gradually moving toward the world of great masters of lyrical abstraction, that are her main source of inspiration. "My creation go through construction, destruction, and again construction. Sprays, sluicing, impasto, burning, everything is good to get to the perfect "rendering". I don't paint anymore bodies, but "the landscapes of Humanity, ... Life." The artist multiplies collaborations with various creators: painters, visual artists, sculptors, choreographers,... "This crossover between different sensitivities, a kind of endangerment of our working and creation habits, is particularly dear to me. I consider this as a common and selfless desire falling within an experimental perspective where the artistic exploration is the main goal.” In 2012 MiraBelle creates the ART'Ochtones Association. She presides, with a lot of energy, this collective of visual artists of the Principality of Monaco and the neighboring French municipalities. Also since 2012 and under the influence of the sculptor Mateo Mornar, MiraBelle sculpts clay with passion and tenderness to turn it into sensual and curvy terra-cotta. Her original bronze castings are produced by craftsmen in Firenze (Italy). "I work without a model, I sink into reflection looking for a certain perfection in an unfinished work...
