ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Christine Clément speaks to us through these abstract works about her feelings over almost two years of very difficult times on a personal and global level (Covid 19 pandemic). Each work has a title and a description that embodies a stage or a particular moment experienced by the artist. You can see almost monochromatic colors where sometimes they transform and derive into more extreme colors, wanting to symbolize an intense pain or feeling that marks a milestone in her life in a tremendously profound way. The materials used in her works, in addition to acrylic paint, perform a fusion of alchemy achieved through textures, pigments, collage, applications of gold, silver or copper sheets, southern woods and various elements. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the highlight is how Christine tells us about her pain and heartbreak when she was stranded during the first year of the Covid 19 pandemic away from her family but without making her jobs bleak, showing an optimistic side since wounds have their healing and healing time and resilience (such healing and recovery can be seen with highly visible and powerful patchwork, silk threads and stitching with organic regeneration).

Argentina
Born in Lima, Peru and of Argentine nationality. Her father, a career diplomat and amateur painter, was there on duty assignment. Christine she traveled through several countries getting to know different cultures and techniques in art, participating since she was little in different workshops. Based in Buenos Aires, she graduated as an advertising graphic designer in 1992. She then dabbled in Art History and painting techniques. Together with her family, she moved to Santiago de Chile, where she participated in different painting workshops and group exhibitions. His work, focused on painting, has been shown in multiple exhibitions and fairs, highlighting his participation in Milan, Miami, Punta del Este, Buenos Aires and of course in Santiago de Chile, in addition to receiving awards that endorse his prestige as a visual artist. Her artistic activity has not focused only on her, in addition to her she curates, she is Director of Atelier4 Galería and Director-Curator of ArtWeek Chile. from the year 2016 to date. xxxxxxxxxxx SPANISH Nacida en Lima, Perú y de nacionalidad argentina. Su obra centrada en la pintura, ha sido mostrada en múltiples exposiciones y ferias, destacando su participación en Milán, Miami, Punta del Este, Buenos Aires y por supuesto en Santiago de Chile, además de recibir premios que avalan su prestigio como artista visual. Su actividad artística no se ha centrado solamente en ella, además realiza curadurías, es Directora de Atelier4 Galería y Directora-Curadora de ArtWeek CHILE desde el año 2016 hasta la fecha.
