ABOUT THE ARTWORK
"Origin", contemporary artwork done in acrylic, spray paint and oil pastels on linen canvas, stretched on a chassis with key. This work is part of my series of women with flowers, both of a beauty that is both fragile and ephemeral. Natural beauty. The woman's face is deliberately overexposed in order to be able to play on the contrasts of shadows and lights. The use of complementary tones intensifies this effect of contrast in the work. A mysterious gaze for this flower-woman, as if she held a secret... The touch is varied and expressionist with a rendering bordering on the abstract giving an enigmatic aspect to the work. Use of a bright and bright color palette, mainly between yellows, reds and purples. A glossy varnish is applied to the canvas. The artwork is ready to hang. The edges of the canvas are painted for an aesthetic rendering.
