Marco Stocco, an Italian artist born in 1970, lives between Italy and Brazil. Self-taught and drawn to figurative art, he began his first paintings, often depicting enigmatic female forms. Along his artistic journey, Marco moved to Brazil, where he currently resides. Initially, the pace and vibrant cultural diversity of Brazil shook him and almost disoriented him emotionally, but then, through observation, he perceived and grasped new, precious creative stimuli. Marco treasures all these stimulating inner experiences, which later lead him to express new sensations in his paintings. In 2009, he created "Orfeo," his "imaginary interior photojournalist," an enigmatic and contemplative character who represents himself, channeling these sensations and then materializing them on canvas. He created a series of works such as "Orfeo artistic tastings" and "Orfeo stay alive - stay creative," in which he depicts moments of his inner journey expressed through painting.
