ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This painting is about a journey, a journey that places two individuals into a situation that they are not prepared for and, determined by one to be encountered together. The saturated, intense hues represent the thoughts, the mindful meanderings of one of the two. The underlying Canvas preparation, the composition for this work is inspired by a location the travelers know well; a place crowded with tall and stately Pine trees. One hundred + feet of straight, leafless trunk (with deeply furrowed bark broken into large, irregular flat plates) is a tree that finally branches out nearer its crown. Found growing in clusters, a viewer might interpret the assemblage of trees a channel of passage, pathway or barrier. All told, it is about being there, in the moment. My artwork will be carefully packaged and shipped to you in a cardboard box. Thank you.
