Paine's Creek Sunset Painting

A visit to Cape Cod and a view of the sun setting on the bay, where the light changed every second inspired me to attempt to capture one of those seconds! Perhaps the viewer will want to take a trip to Massachusetts and see for herself! I used oil paint for the subtlety of the color and a palette knife for applying paint and scraping and blending. It gave me a lot of pleasure to make this painting and hope to share it with someone. It is painted on the edges so no frame is necessary. If the new owner wants to frame it I would suggest a simple natural wood floater frame. It is wired for immediate hanging.
