Art Description

Painting: Oil on Canvas.

Dismemberment is a continuation of a photography graduation project Her Landscapes (TURF Graduation Show, London, 2014). This series of works is inspired by the biblical story of a relationship between the Creator and a created man. It reflects on a subject of what is on the inside of a human - personal universe - against the symbolic nature, which man was supposed to look after while living in the paradise. In Hebrew Eden means pleasure or delight. Dismemberment is an intimate and personal exploration of isolation between God and man, man and his own soul or even man and the rest of the creation. The subjects of my works are found in my psychological surroundings - people I love and experiences I find within myself.
