ABOUT THE ARTWORK
For the past few months, I have been busy working on pen and ink drawings working in black and white. I had the need to go back to painting but didn't have any materials to work on so I painted over an older painting that was in my studio for a while and I was never happy with the results so out of necessity to paint I painted over it. The color scheme has completely changed and so has the design. Necessity is the mother of all inventions.

Painter and printmaker I have been painting professionally for many years images and themes come to me slowly in my mind before I attempt to execute them. Often I have a clear definition of what I want to do but then something happens along the way that changes everything and this is where I let my intuition to take hold . I have my own voice with my work don't follow any trends or styles over the many years of painting I have developed a style of my own that is personal in nature and hopefully my work will be well received by my peers and public . I am a working artist who is constantly honing my skills and craft as a painter/printmaker, and collagist. New themes and ideas are always churning in my head before I attempt to execute them. In 2017 I received a research and development grant from the Canada Council for the Arts. I also received recognition from the NDG Community Councill for the work I did on the 2017 edition of the NDG Art Hop
