My work is never linked to any one technique or media that defines or articulates an artistic practice, but it stems from specific interests that arise from power – driven situations in art and culture; and in that sense, it stems from human conditions; political, economical and biological. I deem the image or the artistic object as a meeting place with the others, as a terrain for thought where the subject is in constant redefinition of itself. I am not interested in the complete, powerful master narratives. On the contrary I am more intrigued by the debris they leave on the margins. Thus, some notions appear repeatedly throughout my work, such as otherness, limits and void. Furthermore, I focus on the corners where the subject is placed by action of master narratives in society. Therefore, art is for me linked to a state of frailty inasmuch as it evidences how precarious humanity and the systems it creates are.
