ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Taking a different approach to using origami in my artwork, instead of collage or paint for the background, I used cut paper. To create depth in the bamboo forest I layered my hand-cut heavy weight papers with thin spacers between them. Pandas were folded from colorful purple-toned papers and added to these bamboo layers. The artwork measures 11.25 x 17.25 and is in a custom-made green mat and a 21.75 x 25.75 x 7/8” black Alumaframe. A Certificate of Authenticity is included.
