The tradition of painting objects closer to the viewer thicker is deliberately subverted to create an unusual environment loaded with metaphor. The strong perspective invites the viewer into a landscape, a line of three panels leads through a shroud of threes and into the distance. The horizontal boundary separates the natural from the manmade.
