Amidst the turbulent dance of dark hues, tranquil swirls of teal emerge, symbolising resilience and inner calm. The delicate touch of bronze adds warmth to the composition, illustrating that even in life's tempests, there exists a serene core waiting to be discovered. This painting, crafted with the unpredictable nature of alcohol ink, mirrors the ephemerality of storms and the fleeting moments of tranquillity before and after, inviting viewers to appreciate the beauty born from the interplay of chaos and stillness. 'Peace Within the Storm' serves as a visual symphony, a testament to the resilience of the human spirit, and a reminder to find peace not by avoiding life's storms but by embracing the tranquillity within them.

Welcome to my Saatchi Art Page. I'm delighted to share my love of art and colour with you. Colour, texture and my surrounding environment drives me to create. Though I studied fine arts in the US and Germany, I'm continuously experimenting and using self-taught techniques to further push the limits of my creation process. I produce powerful abstract works that are created with acrylic paints or are mixed media pieces using materials such as gold leaf, copper shavings, wine, flowers and amongst other items. My work has been displayed internationally since 2003. I have had multiple exhibitions and had the pleasure to display in private exhibitions at the Carnegie Museum PA, the Metropolitan Museum of Art NY, Sotheby's NY and the National Gallery NY. Currently, in addition to being an artist, I am also working as a curator for ColourSpace. At present my original abstract works are held in various private collections in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, the Netherlands, Sweden, Brazil, France, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Germany, and South Korea. My artwork has been featured in a variety of art exhibitions, galleries and corporate spaces including Umbrella Family Law, the Victorian Office of the Solicitor General, Alumina, Law Squared, Blackmore Capital, The Hassett Group, The Hive, OneFortyOne Plantations, ARA Group, Wrays, Workplace Cowork, CoWork Me, Waterman, BDO and The Melbourne Veterinary College amongst others. I have works on permanent display at local cafes and featured magazines like Art is Spectrum, The Bloated Hippo, and Sunday magazines where's I landed the front cover multiple times. I am an active participant in a variety of art shows and teaches abstract art as well as I have been a presenter at a few English conventions. Here's a link of Meghan being interviewed by ColourSpace: https://youtu.be/eI0w1-ebRHw?feature=shared Artist Statement I'm strongly driven by my interest in colour, texture and how a variety of materials interact. There are a couple of series of works I have created such as my psychological landscapes that appear chaotic but are actually intentional, organised abstracts with energetic and gestural applications of paint such as throwing or splattering. Other series of my works are my wine and flower abstracts that are nostalgic as they encase objects such as flowers that may have been given as gifts or represent a feeling of an important event.
