Painting: Oil on Canvas.
In a holographic Universe there are no limits to the extent to which we can alter the fabric of reality. What we perceive as reality is only a canvas waiting for us to draw upon it any picture we want. Anything is possible, from bending spoons with the power of our mind to the Phantasmorgoric events experienced by Castaneda during his experiences with the Yaqui brujo don Juan, for magic our birthright, no more no less miraculous than our ability to compute the reality we want where we are in our dreams.
This piece is part of a series that is inspired by distant, solitary places. Like so much of my work, the atmosphere plays the biggest part in the perception that becomes an inducement to further exploration. I build up layers using a variety of techniques with large windows in each, so that the final images are a kind of collage of textures.
This painting is on a gallery wrapped canvas with finished black edges. It comes ready to hang.
