ABOUT THE ARTWORK
On 300# Fabriano Artistico cold press paper, mounted on a black (painted) wood panel and wired for hanging. This piece has been on display locally and a favorite of mine, but I have now decided to release it for sale. As a zoologist, I studied wildlife around the world and often encountered sea lions at beaches, particularly in Baja California, Mexico, and in the Galapagos Islands, Ecuador. Their solemn beauty, lazy sun bathing habits, and noisy beach interactions with other sea lions have always captivated me. In this painting, I strived to capture a bit of their personality.
