Watercolour Paint on paper Signed on the front. Last August (2018) I have started a project called 'Pandora's Box' consisting of 31 panels 76 x 56 cm, Watercolours on Fabriano Artistico heavy weight paper. Double sized 100% cotton paper, 640 grams. Probably my favourite paper at the moment. My vision of Pandora's Box, when it was opened, was a 'Mess of human flesh being released into the world, fighting for the space, position, supremacy...' They were originally painted as 7 poliptych paintings ( from 2 to 9 panel units) . Idea behind this series was that individual panels could be rearranged in different order and grouped into many new paintings. There are thousands of combinations how to group and display them together. This one is a polyptych consisting of 4 panels. Overall size is 1,52m x 1,12m. This artwork was part of the Exhibition in 2018, ( together with other two artists ) in Klovic gallery in Rijeka ( Croatia ) and later that year in Split ( Croatia). I have catalogue which will be included with paintings. For the show we have pinned artwork directly to the wall with thin metal pins as seen on the photos above. This can be the simplest option to show it on the wall. Paper is almost like a cardboard ( thick, 640 grams ) so it can be displayed using paper clips too. If framing is preferred option, than I would suggest ‘float framing’ which creates nice shadow line around the artwork. All four panels can be joined into one piece and framed, although I believe it is nicer if they are framed individually and spaced on the wall as one unit. That way each painting can be shown as standalone piece, and the order can be changed sometimes. That was actually the intention of the exhibition, to move them around and make different combinations. Additional pictures are of my other work of similar concept, showing framing options. Painting will be posted in a box approx 85 x 60 x 5 cm, not rolled in a tube.

Born in Croatia in 1958, Tony Belobrajdic is a Sydney based figurative artist. He started exhibiting in the late seventies and had his first solo show in 1983 in Croatia. Tony moved to New York in 1987 where he continued his art practice. He exhibits both in Sydney and Europe regularly. Acrylics, watercolours and oils have been the mediums of choice. Etchings is the latest medium being explored and studied with a great passion. His style could be described as contemporary impressionism, mostly portraits and figures. Tony's artwork demonstrates distinct freedom using spontaneous brushstrokes and vivid colours. He combines layered figuration of human forms put in abstract situations.
