My painting expression is deeply inspired by the pollution symbol of the indigenous people of Borneo and the degradation of the rainforest. Through my art , I aim to shed light on the pressing environmental issues that plague this region and the detrimental impact they have on the indigenous communities and their natural habitat. The pollution symbol of the indigenous people of Borneo serves as a powerful visual representation of the ongoing struggle they face due to the destruction of their land . It symbolizes the toxic effects of pollution on their livelihoods , culture , and overall well-being . By incorporating this symbol into my artwork, I hope to raise awareness and provoke a sense of urgency in viewers to take action against the environmental degradation occurring in Borneo. Furthermore, the degradation of the rainforest is a central theme in my painting. The rainforest is not only a vital ecosystem but also a sacred space for the indigenous people of Borneo. It is their home, providing them with sustenance, shelter , and spiritual connection. However, rampant deforestation, illegal logging, and the expansion of palm oil plantations have led to the destruction of this precious habitat . Through my art , I aim to capture the beauty and richness of the rainforest, juxtaposition with the harsh reality of its degradation. I use blue colour and intricate details pattern to emphasize the diversity and complexity of the flora and fauna that call this ecosystem home . At the same time , I incorporate elements of decay, pollution, and destruction to highlight the devastating consequences of human actions . Ultimately, my artistic expression seeks to evoke a sense of empathy and responsibility in viewers. I want them to understand the interconnectedness of all living beings and the urgent need to protect and preserve the indigenous people of Borneo and their rainforest home .
