They say that people look like their dogs and the idea for my painting "Pooch Patrol" came from this.

The painting shows a fictitious London park, with "The Shard" and "The Gherkin" visible through the trees in the distance.

As well as the characters in the fore ground, walking their beloved dogs along the path, your eye is taken across the park, where lots of other dog owners are out having fun with their beloved dogs.

As a dog owner myself, I had great fun creating this painting. I have used a muted palette, which I really love and I feel that it really does depict those late Spring days when you have to dust off your warm coat and wellies before taking your dog out for their walk.

I am a freelance artist/illustrator living and working in Surrey UK. I have worked as a freelance illustrator/artist for the past few years now, after having a break in my career, to bring up my family. Most of my work has been commission based over the past four years, however recently, I have started to sell my canvases privately also. I was invited to exhibited my work at the Parallax Art Fair on the Kings Road, Chelsea (London) in July 2016 and will taking part in further exhibitions in the coming year.
