Paul Peregal

Paul Peregal was born in Portland, Maine, U.S.A. He attended the School of Art and Design at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts under the directorship of Arthur Lismer, a founding member of the Group of Seven. Lismer was Peregal's colour theory instructor. The artist also studied at Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Montreal and The Art Students League in New York. Peregal has travelled and resided in the United States, Canada, England, Denmark and France. His shrewd perspicacious vision and driven vitality has produced strikingly uncanny portraits and explosively kinetic landscapes which figure prominently in collections throughout the world.
