This is a unique work of art, straight from the artist's studio. A portrait of Seraphine, painted on a vintage carpet with hanging mechanism. The pattern blends with her face, symbolizing the diversity of cultures and acceptance and love for each other. A work of art with a message that hopefully provides a glimmer of hope in these times of war and polarization. High-profile and atmospheric art. Jacqueline Klein Breteler is a Dutch artist with a studio in a small, rural village in the Netherlands, where she lives with her husband and five sons. Her works have been exhibited in many places and art collectors all over the world purchase her work. Also included in Á year of art', an international art catalogue. Currently available at: Sille Gallery in Oudewater and Artfusion in Amsterdam. Insta: @jacqkunst Website: exto.nl The art will be carefully packaged and shipped with track and trace.

Fragile, vulnerable, sensitive, with a great inner strength. These words describe the women in my work. The paintings are a homage to the vulnerability of women. Vulnerable in her feelings about herself and her loved ones. Vulnerable in the openness with which she shows her emotions. And the power needed to as a strong, self-confident woman in life. That fight between inner strength and vulnerability are fascinates me and I try to shape by direct, coarse brush strokes in contrast with finely worked-out details. With much emphasis on the play between light and shadow. An intense and emotional meeting between image and Viewer, a moment of recognition. Still more impressive by on large format to work and more and more with a contemporary and sustainable application of materials. I paint on used canvases, rugs and cardboard boxes, materials that give an extra layering my paintings and unique look, which fit very well in this time. Next to artist I am an artteacher, wive and mother of 5 sons.
