ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This painting was inspired by the 2024 Presidential election. It references the 'post menopausal childless cat lady' comments. It depicts an older woman with a cat staring menacingly at the viewer. I often include coffee cups in my paintings and in this case I've used the owl on the cup as a symbol of wisdom. Although it's a serious theme, I have attempted to present it with a bit of humor. It is oil on studio wrapped canvas with a protective matte varnish. Hanging hardware is not included.
