Post-Trend Void Painting

Being the final work of the tetraptych, it reveals a state of post-trend void that logically stems from the three previous works. When I started the first of these four artworks, trying to figure out if value (which is very abstract concept) could have a shape or color, I didn’t even imagine that there would be 3 more subsequent works culminating in a void at the end. This is why art is incredibly interesting, because the artist himself may not know what will be revealed to him at the end of his research journey. Art is always a search. One of the key questions was what happens to iconic sign in the event of disappearance of the signified object. So I came to understanding to introduce into semiotics a new terminological concept of ‘post-brand existence of the sign’ visual expression of which I was able to realize only in 2023 in one of my next works.
