ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Proxemics is the study of human use of space and the effects that population density has on behaviour, communication, and social interaction. When I was studying architecture and urban planning I was always struck by the concept of proxemics. The relationship between the private physical space and its variations that today are also in tension with the technological media and social networks. In this painting I play with this limit, I start from a real referent that I modify by proposing a question about the real and about the tensions between the private and the public in a 2.0 version of proxemics.
