What all these pictures have in common are their intrinsic dynamics. Sometimes this shows in the brush work, sometimes in the ambiguity of a posture. Even seemingly peaceful paintings are disquieting as soon as you see them next to their companions.

Tools and hardware are not only thrown away when they are broken, but when they are still in good repair, too, because there are new gadgets to replace them. I appreciate the beauty of these artefacts and think they will soon be admired in technical museums. Up to then I will endeavour to lay my hands on some of them.
