ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I was inspired by the age old ethos of zentangle. The simple, zen way to doodle, using one line at a time, and following it. Initially I created densely embroidered canvases but grew out of that. Then I started painting them, and they really took shape. This is from my recent whirlwind obsession with purples and blues. I always shunned purples, but a buyer who was lovely and has a gallery in Florida mentioned how much he liked them, so I gave it a go..and I was in love.
