ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Another one on the series depicting the holy bird of the Aztec – Quetzal. It was highly revered by these Mezoamerican people. While you could usually catch this bird in a dreamy shiny environment, here it could be found in a kind of unnatural space. Cold colors are used to underline the distance and insecurity you could feel from the quetzal. Unnatural distance of natural environment and human being. Or maybe it’s cold and rainy day where the bird just tries to get warm?

An emerging artist who attempts to help establishing a dialogue with ones inner self. In spite of the fact that I've learned to deal with a pencil literally before I've learned how to deal with a spoon, I had no option to visit art classes while I was a pupil as we leaved in the very far north of Russia. However, I’ve entered Information Technology, Optical Design and Engineering University in St. Petersburg where I’ve get classes in art and design. In there I’ve realized that design can’t give me enough freedom so I left it to get my own studies being a great art enthusiast. Since that time I work as an artist constantly improving my ways of visual communication through the artworks being exhibited in Russia, the USA, Turkey and Switzerland. I believe that an artist is the way you think and the way you perceive the world around you being able to catch things covered from a regular eye. For me artwork is the source by which you’re able to transmit the pure idea or a feeling from one heart to another not being distorted by the lack of words or a language difference. I prefer to work comparatively fast being inspired by dreams, nightmares and all the things beyond human being. That’s why my main mediums are that ones which allows you to work pretty fast saving wide range of artistic opportunities. I’m experimenting with many mediums from oils and aquarelles to digital painting. However, most artworks are in Indian ink or acrylics as I find them a golden mean for today. In my opinion the true art should evoke something bigger than ones being. A good artwork should help to dial with ones inner self. This is what I’m trying to do with my artworks.
