About The Artwork
I spent a quiet afternoon in late April sitting along the Marginal way in Ogunquit drawing this scene.I was struck by the simplicity of the composition in front of me: the triangle of the sea,and the angles and shapes of the rock formations . The ocean was calm and quiet, as was the day. I depicted all of this back in the studio with a very limited palette of color, staying true to the simple composition that nature had provided.
