ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Second in a series of plein air painting sketches I completed early this summer in a field close to my home. Every year the golden oilseed rape flowers adorn the countryside around me. They call me to sit and and paint them, absorbing their brightness in the sun. n.b. this is painted on hand made Nepalese Khadi paper. It is very heavy weight and each sheet comes with wonky, deckled edges.
