MAEN DUPPA - is a contemporary artist painter, graduated Architectural and Urban Design, Painting and Drawing from Warsaw University of Technology - (2002) - and obtained Master's Degree with distinction. The artist has lived the life of a wanderer for 15 years. She has lived and worked in many European cities, including Barcelona, Paris, Vienna, Berlin and Madrid. She has spent the most years in the Canary Islands and in Sicily. The life on these islands has had a key influence on her art, and above all on her departure from figuration in favour of painting, which tries to capture the life and energy of nature. Artist Maen Duppa discovered a new style of painting in 2015, which has not yet found a good name and is currently called Nature Life Art or Nature Energy Art. In our time this style of painting is called: abstract, but it is not abstract because nature is not metaphysical. I have been explaining the difference for many years, but almost no one understands what I am talking about. Pierre Mondrian was a classic abstract painter and is a good example to compare. There are forms unrelated to nature, i.e. those that Mother Earth will never give birth to. I paint natural forms that clearly direct the viewer's imagination in a specific direction. Just as a poet can beautifully describe a given scenery with words - that this image appears in the reader's head - just me, I paint a picture with paints that evoke the viewer's experience of nature. The pictures are so universally created that every viewer can imagine or recall the memory of their own mountain trip, their own sailing on the ocean, their own walk in the forest, lying on the beach and looking at the starry sky. However, my pictures are a frame that you stare at - not a painting of a scene, because such painting belongs to the past. And I am an avant-garde and modern painter. Here - SAATCHI ART - this is the first platform on which I started publishing my pictures and that is why here is 90% of my first figurative painting period - but I show also - that I am experimenting and searching. I present the transitional moment here.
