Rainbow Row Ride Painting

If you ever visit Charleston you will see the historic district of the city filled with these horse buggies. I remember riding one on a hot summer day, it was such a pleasure to feel the breeze under the canopy and to hear a witty tour guide tell you funny stories about the historic mishaps of this old beautiful city. Oh I cannot begin to express how happy my feet were to get a break from walking on cobblestone all day. I hope this painting transports you to the amplified colors of the south. The trees in this painting are special too. They're old and established, they lived through hurricanes and fires that were common in Charleston. Trying to thrive some of these trees were twisted into funny shapes by the elements or by resident gardeners of the city who are diligently fighting to control these deep rooted leafy residents from taking over any more space.
