personally – the biography Maximo Simon Walther has had a strong connection with Nature since his earliest childhood, the shapes, colors and even the natural arrangement of plants fascinate him. His attraction to water, which is found in his artistic work, comes in particular from his swimming in the wild and pure river of the city where he grew up in Bern in Switzerland. The painter concentrates his studies in landscape architectures thus depending on his motto “our nature, our fortune” transformed rooted in the attitude of which humans must interact and behave with nature. This is how the works of Maximo Simon Walther are centered on natural themes and their systems. Maximo Simon Walther exhibits internationally including the Hong Art Museum in Chongujing in China or in various art fairs (New York, Venice, Bern, Parma, Munich, Lausanne, Strasbourg and Zurich). His works are a part of private collections in Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the United States and Germany such as the luxury hotels Five Global Holding in Dubai or Five Zürich in Switzerland. career – artistic approach Maximo Simon Walther uses the different haptic and sensual feelings of the materials breathed by Nature and brings them together in his paintings. The Painter combines subtle color nuances and likes to work in a minimalist way. The compositions of the Artist’s works harmonize between textures and colors. Maximo Simon Walther’s artistic approach is inspired by the Japanese motto “Wabi-Sabi” which recognizes beauty in imperfection. The singularity of the Artist’s pictorial research emphasizes the imperfection of life with the impermanence and patina of nature carried with dignity. the content of artworks – our nature, our fortune My works address the changes and fascination of Nature and relate to environmental awareness. I pursue environmentally conscious approaches such as the “Fire” and “Australian Desert Ground”series, which refers to the drying up of the earth and the signal of bush fires which demonstrate the fragility, but also the strength of life and the diversity of Nature. For me, Nature has its own body language. The “Oceangrounds” are considering the beauty of water and the possibility to dive deep into a world of silence. The “Solitudes” series emphasizes the fragility of icebergs on a clean ocean surface, each of which is created in a three-dimensional way.
