ABOUT THE ARTWORK

This piece was inspired by the rainforest, climate change, and the desperation of a region. I used a few layers of paint, giving to this piece a unique texture, where we show, the smooth side, representing calmness, and the rough side, representing desperation and our reality, global warming. Hanging hardware is included.

American Brazilian artist Hugo Auler, Jr. was born in 1961 in Brasilia, Brazil. He was involved with art at an early age since his father, Hugo Auler, was a famous art critic in Brazil with his newspaper column "Atelier". He used to visit different vernissages and art exhibitions. This gave him a lot of inspiration that came to him later in life in the '90s when he was already living in Los Angeles. Hugo is an autodidact who likes to explore colors and texture, getting inspiration from life situations, people, and nature. Hugo has a Master's degree in International Economics, and for the last 30 years, he has dedicated his time working in the Travel industry. Always involved with sports, Hugo has a large number of marathons, triathlons, and 3 Ironman races under his belt.
