About The Artwork
My abstract expressionist work speaks to my emotional response to contemporary society and its social mores. I reject fixed “have tos” and programmed algorithms that our lives are more and more dictated by. Applying vibrant color against muted tone, bold gestural motion against fluid form, layered and scraped, these improvisational paintings support an individual’s right to be (or think for) themselves, and the courage to do that. And completely invite the viewer into the conversation.
