I always attempt to intuitively apply acrylic paint and oil stick to the museum board surface, aiming to NOT to get in the way of that expression. I want that "freshness" to come across. The red and black contrasting colors add to the intensity.

My approach to painting and collage work is intuitive. I don’t start with a sketch, I just start. A Zen-like approach, allowing an energy to be expressed in my work that the rational mind tends to compromise. My creative successes and failures are measured by how well “I” get out of the way. It’s my belief that the viewer intuits this energy and intent, adding to the enjoyment of the piece. In 2019 I committed myself full time to painting and collage work as an antidote to the business world.
