‘The Red House’, is part of a larger series of works: ‘Less Familiar’, The viewer is invited into a silent space, devoid of human life, where the geometric structures and the rhythm of nature are transformed by colour and marks. The work explores the language of paint, in reaction to various source imagery and digital manipulation. The Source Imagery comes from multiple low quality online images, which were digitally collaged to create a discordant environment.
