After moving from NYC as a child, I live and work in the beautiful northwest hills of Litchfield County, Connecticut. I’m a contemporary figurative painter working mostly in oils on canvas and paper. I am most interested in the figure, whether it be in an interior, exterior or an undefined atmospheric space. Through expressive mark making and color choice, the figure is formed and solidified in its environment. Not so much capturing a likeness of any particular person but rather a gesture and mood that contributes to the narrative of the painting.
