Using primarily acrylics, Irina Tasteven draws inspiration from history and the natural world to craft her abstract landscapes and contemporary art pieces. Realizing her lifelong dream, Irina embarked on her artistic journey, sharing her paintings online since 2020. Originally from Latvia, she now resides in England, where the everyday life, travels, botanical gardens, landscapes, plants, and fleeting moments serve as wellsprings of inspiration for her creations. When inspiration strikes, Irina immerses herself fully in the creative process, driven by her lifelong passion for painting and drawing. Transitioning to a full-time artist was a natural progression for her, as art has always been an integral part of her life. Employing acrylics and texture, Irina employs a natural color palette often drawn from her own photography. Her goal is to evoke a sense of joy and happiness in viewers through her artwork, believing that art has the power to liberate minds and foster exploration of the world's myriad colors and cultures.
