ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This is another portrait that investigates the theme of the feminine, which challenges the ethnocentric dominance with a direct look at the viewer. The background, fragmented and reconstructed in a symphony of colors, has elements that refer to other cultures, different from the hegemonic Western one: in this case the ginko leaves and the Japanese kimono, in contrast with the aesthetics of the skin and hair of the subject almost classicist and realist.
