Reflections Painting

The title of this oil painting, Reflections, comes from the fact that painting is my escape, my comfort in the unusual time we find ourselves in. So much pleasure and inspiration comes from regular trips to Anglesey, north Wales that are now not possible. Memories of the Beautiful British land and seascapes again as so often draws me in albeit from abstraction. Wondrous photos of Anglesey and the Cornish coast collated over the years provide a starting point. Lock down allows time for reflection and appreciation of what we have. Painted using oils this artwork has uses a variety of media to add texture and add extra layers of depth and light deflection. Sealed with a protective layer of gloss varnish to seal and protect the surface. Thank you for taking an interest in my work. The frame is not included and is just added in the photos to show the impact framing could have.
