Cid's artistic journey began in a small fishing village on Terceira Island, Acores, where she spent her formative years. At the age of 13, she immigrated to Canada, settling in Toronto, where she lived until 2020 when she relocated to Madoc in eastern Ontario. ​ As a self-taught mixed media abstract and non-representational artist, Cid's curiosity and passion for art led her to experiment with various painting mediums, surfaces, and styles since picking up her first paintbrush in 2008. Her works are a testament to her evolution as an artist, with each piece showcasing her unique perspective and style. ​ In 2010, Cid established The Art for Cancer Foundation, the first creative arts charity for people living with cancer in Canada, which she ran for ten years. Through her work with the foundation, Cid harnessed the transformative power of art to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by cancer. ​ Over the past decade, Cid's art has been exhibited at a variety of venues, and her pieces have found homes in private collections throughout North America and Europe. She is a member of various prestigious art organizations, including The Art Tour Collective, The Federation of Canadian Artists, The Belleville Art Association, The Madoc Chamber of Commerce, and the Tweed and Area Arts Council. ​ Today, Cid's art is also represented by Quinn's of Tweed Fine Art Gallery.
