ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The sacred is symbolized by a Madonna, an icon of Christian and Western religion. This representation of the Virgin is also a self-portrait of the artist. It confronts us with two worlds which oppose each other by their dominating power: one really Sacred and forgotten by man: that of nature and the other, sacred by man: all these new technologies on which he depends and which takes him away from nature. She uses the Virgin, symbol of purity and respect, to lead us to reflect on these topics of the environmental and humanitarian future. In this work, the Madonna has replaced the child with a computer! Connected to an excessively virtual world, man has become dependent on it, but isn't this world in danger of being disenchanted in the long term? The black American body of this painting is slightly damaged following an exhibition stall.

Née en 1979, Héloïse Bonin vit et travaille en Limousin. Elle a étudié à l'école d'arts appliqués de La Souterraine puis à l'École Nationale d'Arts Décoratifs de Limoges. Son travail pictural et son désir de poursuivre dans la voie artistique résultent d'un long et fort cheminement personnel: forme de résilience, suite au traumatisme, laissé par un accident mais aussi à l'envie de se consacrer à ses enfants. Elle travaille par série, imprégnée de sa vie personnelle et professionnelle : Durant de nombreuses années, Héloïse mène des ateliers d'expressions artistiques dans les services d'oncologie et d'Alzheimer puis elle intègre par la suite des ateliers auprès de jeunes placés sous contrôle judiciaire dans un Centre Éducatif Fermé. Toutes ces expériences humaines et sensibles viennent nourrir son travail pictural.
