Hello My name is Julia Cassia and I am a professional in abstract painting. I'm contemporary artist based in Switzerland. It's about 10 years ago now as I first got interested in art and painting them bought my very first precious and colors. I was a Landscape Photograph and appreciate the swiss nature. I saw simple tutorials on YouTube and started to learn myself how to explore, to find my own way of painting. It took me some years to really find my own style, but no matter what technique or colors. I've been using during these years my one and only inspiration has always been nature. I live in this beautiful place surrounded by endless Alps, forests and lakes in Switzerland. I love to feel the texture of the natural materials and when I look at a finished painting, I know exactly the story of every single painting where I touch them and how they ended up at the canvas. I have always painted whit aquarelle or classic crayons in the Art school (1980-1985) Creating the abstract with acrylic paintings can be tricky but one thing that always works it is making lots of layers. It creates depth and visual interest. It might look complex and difficult, but it's actually quite impressive. Once you understand the concept and some basic rules how to create beautiful layered abstract it’s a huge pleasure and my big passion! I really use art to express myself and to connect deeper with the world around me. So let's get to the questions : so I actually began Paintings on canvas in 2011, when I was a student at St.-Gallen University. So I was studying on the Management course “Woman back to business” . I just really felt it wasn't creative enough for me. So I started to turn to painting on the side and got the success in Switzerland and EU countries: Germany, France, Monaco and at home in Switzerland.
