This bold artwork on paper is the result of experimentation with mixed mediums - acrylic, powdered pigment, charcoal, graphite etc. The intent was to create visual texture and reminiscent of natural stone and landscape. Resilience 3 comes rolled in a tube to allow the collector to chose the presentation most suitable for them...matt and frame, float in frame, mount to panel etc.

I was born in Canada in 1953 and currently work in my home studio in Vancouver BC. I began my working life in medicine but had always been drawn to a career in visual arts. In 1993, I started learning and working as an artist full-time. I have a deep desire to paint non-objectively, allowing colour and mark-making to emanate from somewhere inside my body other than my conscious self. This intuitive practice often seems careless and haphazard, but is actually passionate and engaging.
