ABOUT THE ARTWORK

The painting taps deep into Egyptian mythology, swirling with symbolism. The lotus flower, central to the scene, signifies rebirth, purity, and creation. In Egyptian lore, the lotus was closely linked to the sun god Ra, as it blooms with the sunrise and closes at dusk, echoing the cycles of life and renewal. The goddess emerging from the water likely symbolizes divine femininity and creation, possibly drawing parallels with Hathor or Isis, who embody motherhood, fertility, and the nurturing forces of the cosmos. The water itself represents the primal waters of Nun, the chaotic void from which the first land, and subsequently life, emerged. Her upward-reaching arms signify an awakening, not just of the goddess herself, but of the truths and purity she represents. It reflects the eternal dance between chaos and order, life and rebirth. The serene, almost divine landscape reinforces her connection to the natural and cosmic order, a testament to her power and purity
